Imagine Having to do a Retake !!!

By Richard | March 5, 2010

This is a very different music video. Very cool to watch.

Directed by James Frost, OK Go, and Syyn Labs. Produced by Shirley Moyers. The official video for the recorded version of “This Too Shall Pass” off of the album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky”. The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Syyn Labs (http://syynlabs.com/ ) over the course of several months.

Been Google Slapped Yet?

By Richard | February 20, 2010

Have you busted your butt on website SEO, built lots of links, entered a well performing Google Adwords campaign, only to get slapped?

Don’t feel bad. Even the mighty Fuhrer got slapped.

Be forewarned of two things.

(1) some strong language (unnecessary in my view, but, hey, that is the world today)

(2) I assume that the sub titles do not actually match the German being spoken

If we ignore the use of Hitler, and just consider the character’s hate for the famous “Google Slap”, I found parts of it very funny.

The iPad From Hitler’s Point of View

By Richard | February 11, 2010

And I agree with him!!!

Be forewarned of two things

(1) some strong language (unnecessary in my view, but, hey, that is the world today)

(2) I assume that the sub titles do not actually match the German being spoken

If we ignore the use of Hitler, and just consider the character’s disapproval of the package, I found it very funny in part. And I am right with him on where Apple missed “the boat”.

Lack of flash, when so much of the web is flash. That is a HUGE shortcoming, unless some smart programmer has figured out a way around the limitation. Doesn’t Apple like Adobe?

By Richard | January 24, 2010

Wow! I was surprised at just how much green screens are used in TV and Movies.

This video gives a variety of examples, some of which you may recognize from scenes that you have personally seen.
